Gmail Now Lets you Drag-n-Drop Attachments to PC

Google has added a new feature to its emailing service Gmail that now lets you drag and drop attachments to the desktop. This feature is currently available for Google Chrome users only. Now, no more 'Where did my attachments get downloaded' moments or hunting around for attachments.

Back in April, Google had introduced drag and drop attachments support for adding documents from anywhere on the PC or Mac to Gmail. And now, we get to drag and drop attachments from Gmail on Chrome browser to anywhere on your PC or Mac.

This feature has been activated by default for Chrome browser users. All you have to do is click and hold on the attachment file icon and then drag it to your desktop or anywhere on your system. Alternatively, you can click and hold over the Download text link for the mail attachment and then drop it anywhere on your system. Note that the browser will still perform a download and its progress will be visible in the download bar at the bottom of the window.

This really is a nifty feature for you can directly drag your documents anywhere and save yourself from hassle of hunting where the browser saved your attachments.
