If you have been using Android for some time now, we're sure you are quite familiar with the official Facebook application - which actually isn't that great.
Anyway, all that is now history because there is a new version of the application now available for download. Version 1.3 of the app brings in a host of load of improvements. The new version supports video playback from inside the app and for events. You can now respond to friend requests within the application - without the need of going to the mobile website. Another addition is the "picture timeline" feature which you will find at the bottom of the screen. It displays photos from your friends and updates it automatically as soon as new feeds arrive.
If you have this app installed already, it will alert you regarding the available update via Android Market. The only thing now missing is the integration of Facebook chat which we believe is a possibility in the future versions.
Head over to Android Market from your phone to install this one.
